2013 Cabaret Series

January 18 & 19
Jim Jarrell: Just Between Friends
Cleveland actor/director, Jim Jarrell, shares his own performing experience in
a charming one-man show featuring a gold mine of Broadway musical theatre
songs by the likes of Sondheim, Finn, Bock & Harnick, and Berlin. It’s David
Sedaris meets Bea Arthur (with just enough showtune sweetness to set the
stage) for an old-fashioned gab-fest...just between friends.

March 22 & 23
Susan Wagner: Life is a Cabaret (in One Act)
Accompanied by Ryan Bergeron on piano, Wagner will perform an eclectic mix
of show tunes, standards, and pop favorites from the decades that her life
has spanned. Previously appearing as Mrs. Peacock in the Spotlights 2010
production of
Clue: The Musical, Wagner has also been seen around town at
the Beck Center, Cassidy Theater, Clague Playhouse, and in the
PlayhouseSquare production of
Girls Night:The Musical.

May 17 & 18
Mary Lee Baker: Kicking Up a Storm
Former Radio City Music Hall Rockette and Broadway veteran, Mary Lee
Baker, has just published her  memoir, All I Ever Wanted Was a B Cup, and
definitely has some stories to tell! She will share the craziness and drama she
experienced behind the curtain, including one incredibly epic wardrobe
malfunction...that went virtually unnoticed.

August 16 & 17
Live Feed (A Theatrically Situational Cabaret)
Two friends plan to broadcast a public-access television show from a
basement studio using video clips from professional theaters across the
United States. Of course technical difficulties ensue, the feeds don't work, and
the duo, along with the help of a 13-year-old daughter, must perform the
songs themselves. Molly Clay, Larry Sheir, and Kate Clay present this new,
original work that combines a hilarious story with familiar tunes from the
Broadway stage.

October 11 & 12
Dawn Sniadak-Yamokoski & Friends:  Dream Songs
Every actress has a list of songs that she someday dreams of performing on
stage, and Dawn Sniadak-Yamokoski has decided to wait no longer!  Joined
by Shani Ferry and Justin Williams, the trio will present songs that showcase
their unique lives and passions for performing.

December 13 & 14
Marc Moritz: Sober for the Holidays -
A Recovering Jew at Christmas!
Marc Moritz, who originated the role of the Talk Show Host in Stephen
Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway, shares the story of his youth
growing up in Cleveland, followed by his bawdy and misspent life in New York,
followed by 30 years of sobriety! This autobiographical, fun-filled, and highly-
entertaining performance is the perfect outing for adults who need an escape
from eggnog, shopping, and the traditional holiday reruns.
