History
The Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater was founded in the
autumn of 1998. Through a publicity campaign, sponsorships were acquired for
initial start-up expenses and the kick-off event was held in October of that year.
The theater produced its first show in December 1998 -- a successful Christmas
production. In November, 2003, the City of Broadview Heights granted the
Spotlights use of a vacant building on its city campus.  With the help of
volunteers, the former group home was converted into a Cultural Arts Building
which includes a 63-seat performance studio.  The first show in the Cultural Arts
Building was produced six months later. 2008 marked the Spotlights 10th
Anniversary.
